Walk-a-Thon News A very happy time & a great success! $18,000 raised!
Saturday, September 15th, was a beautiful sunny day. Along with pizza, lemonade, etc., kids & adults were entertained by a DJ (which included line dancing), and the "Wizard of Oz" characters. The Cowardly Lion, the Good Witch Glenda and Dorothy were all in attendance. Face painting & story telling were also a part of the event activities. Betty Therrien, our CNA from the Warwick office, raised the most money, a whopping $1,334.00. Wonderful job, Betty! More teams were formed this year which made for more fun and a more successful fund raiser. Monies raised enable us to help those who are not eligible for state help and cannot afford their own care. These people fall through the cracks. It is our mission to help fill those cracks. Thank you to everyone everyone involved in our third annual Walk-a-Thon, those who walked, raised pledges, donated, or volunteered. All of you helped make this event a really successful team effort.
